What is Surya Namaskar?
Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation is a sequence of twelve yoga postures done at the sunrise time with empty stomach. It can be done at any time of the day but as this sequence of postures is done to express the gratitude to the Sun without which our life in the world is not possible, sunrise time is considered the best as we can express our gratitude at the very first glimpse of it. Apart from being a form of expressing gratitude to the sun, Surya Namaskar is a very good way of complete body stretching and a cardiovascular exercise.
